Battlesfields Discovery Tour - Ypres

On Day Two we operate excursions to either the Ypres Salient or The Somme - see price grid below. On the Ypres dates, Day Two starts at the Essex Farm Cemetery, before moving on to the Gas Memorial at St Julien and the Langemark German cemetery. In the afternoon we stop at Tyne Cot Cemetery before returning to Ypres, where there will be time to visit the In Flanders Field Museum and the Menin Gate for the poignant last post ceremony. Alternatively, the second day can be centred on The Somme and start at the important wartime town of Albert and Thiepval and its memorial to Irish troops. Finally, there is the Newfoundland Memorial Park to the Canadian troops of World War One and Beaumont Hamel. On the fi nal morning we visit the memorial to the Canadian troops at Vimy Ridge. All tours will be accompanied by an expert guide.

Day 2 - Ypres Salient . Included full day excursion, to Ypres Salient
Day 3 - Belgium. This morning we visit the Canadian troops memorial at Vimy Ridge before we commence our journey home.

You will stay for two nights at a comfortable hotel in Belgium, such as, or similar to, the Ibis Hotel Kortrijk. All hotels used have well-furnished en-suite bedrooms as well as a bar and a dining room where continental breakfast will be included throughout your stay.
