Lille Flea Market

'La Braderie' is probably the largest flea market in Europe, taking place over the first weekend in September. Set in the very heart of Lille, over one million visitors swarm the streets to browse the never-ending stalls that line 200 km of pavements throughout old Lille. Scour for bargains amongst stalls selling paintings antiques, ornaments, furniture and 'junk' of every description! Part of the celebration is the eating of 'moules-frites' ' mussels and chips. Traditionally, after eating you leave your empty shells outside the stall or restaurant and the owners compete to see who has the biggest pile by the end of the fair! You'll spend two nights at a comfortable hotel in the Lille area within easy coaching distance of the Flea Market. As well as the opportunity to spend the full day on Saturday in Lille we will also transport you into the city on the Sunday morning of your holiday so you can enjoy further free time, before we commence our journey home.

Day 1 - FRANCE. Journey to your hotel in the Lille area
Day 2 - LILLE FLEA MARKET. Included coach transfer into the centre of Lille for a full day at the Flea Market. Return transfer to your hotel mid-evening.
Day 3 - LILLE FLEA MARKET. After breakfast we check out of our hotel as we once again visit Lille and the Flea Market to search for those final bargains before we depart around lunchtime to commence our journey home.

You will stay for two nights at a comfortable hotel in the Lille area. All hotels used have well furnished en-suite bedrooms as well as a comfortable bar and a dining restaurant where continental breakfast will be included on each morning of your stay.
